Garden Needs Wins Salford Tender

Friday, March 28th, 2014

Logo Garden NeedsMind in Salford, in partnership with Social Adventures, have just been successful in winning the contract for Mental Health and Horticulture in the city.

The three year contract will build upon the current work we’re doing at Garden Needs, our mental wellbeing hub and garden centre in Higher Broughton.

It’s an exciting new venture and it will mean us expanding our operations, allowing us to offer

  • more skills training and qualifications,
  • more drop-ins and foraging walks
  • more opportunities to grow food, and to carry out landscaping and grounds maintenance.

The new contract starts at the end of April 2014 and we’re very excited!

Advocacy Contract Extended

Tuesday, March 25th, 2014

Our contract to provide independent advocacy services for the people of Salford, in partnership with Salford Being Heard, has been extended for another 2 years.

This follows the successful implementation of our advocacy database, improving our understanding of the issues faced by clients, and the client bases we are helping.

We aim to improve our outreach to the communities of Salford in the next two years, as well as involving more volunteers to support our clients and improve the social benefits of our service.
