Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
Mind in Salford now offer Mental Health First Aid England training for individuals, businesses and organisations in Salford. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based internationally recognised training, backed by the Royal Society for Public Health, which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and to provide initial help and support – just like physical first aiders do for people with injuries or physical ill health.
In the workplace, education setting or in day-to-day life, trained mental health first aiders can be a first port of call for anyone in mental distress and they can signpost individuals to access professional treatment and support for their recovery.
The 2 day Adult Mental Health First Aid training courses are for everyone aged 16 yrs upwards. Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions. https://mhfaengland.org/
The training can be delivered for a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 16 participants either at our training space in The Angel Centre, Salford or on-site in your workplace.
The cost/investment per person is £300 total (as a small to medium size charity we don’t charge VAT) and includes individual resource packs including the MHFA manual.
