We offer affordable and comprehensive training delivered by experienced practitioners.
Our training sessions are focused on mental health. The training sessions we offer are comprehensive, interactive, research/evidence-based and are delivered by experienced professionals currently working in the field of mental health. The training sessions offer opportunities to put learning into practice and resource packs are supplied for participants.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
This training teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and to provide initial help and support – just like physical first aiders do for people with physical ill health.
Thriving at Work - Mental Health in the Workplace
This session is designed for people mangers or team leaders, to provide an overview of mental health awareness, common mental health issues, the law and best practice in this area, and how to support yourself and others.
We run a variety of mindfulness course options, such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses, Mindfulness Taster Sessions for workplaces and community organisations, as well as Mindfulness Practitioner Training.
Mental Health Awareness
Our mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions are well suited for organisations and companies, covering mental health definitions, supporting the needs of others, tackling stigma, and looking after our own mental health.
ASIST, safeTALK, Suicide Awareness & Suicide First Aid
We offer a range of courses to support in providing interventions and help to those experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings, helping remove stigma around discussing suicide.
Resilience Lunch 'n' Learn & Bespoke Courses
Our Lunch 'n' Learn sessions teach practical techniques that support participants to improve resilience, reduce stress and anxiety, create better sleeping patterns and improve mood. Our training team can also work with you to develop a bespoke course to fulfill your needs.
There are some key dates across the year that provide good opportunities to start the conversation around mental health.
They also offer a great chance to tackle stigma and discrimination and to take time to consider how to support your own wellbeing.
By procuring mental health training or mindfulness sessions from Mind in Salford you will be supporting us to continue to offer free mindfulness courses to people with mental health issues on low or no income in the local community; this can also contribute to your Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
