Fundraising

We’re a small organisation and we don’t have huge resources or a large income. We work hard for funds – and we need your help!

We rely on donations and fundraising to help fund the innovative work that we do supporting people in the community with mental health issues and fighting discrimination. We’re here to help people live life to the full, and our work wouldn't be possible without you.

We'd love to hear your fundraising ideas and will do all we can to support you. Please email fundraising@mindinsalford.org.uk or call 0161 710 1070 to discuss your ideas.

Thank you to our Fundraisers

We want to share our gratitude to the runners and walkers here in Greater Manchester who graciously raised money for us during marathons, half-marathons, and other run/walk events.

Thank you Davide, for fundraising for us during the Manchester Marathon.

Davide's story:
A (much) younger me:
"One day I'll run a Marathon"
An older me:
"I can't run a Marathon, but it's always been my dream"
Always the older me, but a few years later:
"I will run a Marathon because even if I can't do it, it's always been my dream".

Now here I am. Chasing that dream and facing the (physical) hardest challenge of my life. My body keeps reminding me that I can't do it, that I'm not physically built to finish it. My mind keeps fooling me that anything is possible and every dream should be chased. And the latter is clearly winning now.

It was insanely painful but also the greatest achievement I've ever done.

"It was a pleasure for me to fundraise for Mind as I truly recognize the importance of what you do. I have been struggling (and still am) with my mental health and on many occasions I thought to get in touch with Mind to find some help. It's so important to know you're there for people like me."

Thank you to Ann and Scott, for signing up to raise funds for us during the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run on 21 May 2023

Their story:
Ann herself has struggled with mental ill health in the forms of anxiety and depression throughout her life.

"The effect a persons mind can have on themselves and others can be detrimental, making organisations like Mind key in supporting and benefiting both ourselves and those around us."

For Scott, the charity resonates with him through family struggles with mental health, making Mind a key charity to support.
