Take part in an event – Build team spirit by taking on a workplace challenge and raise funds and awareness for mental health support at the same time.

Clothes Recycling Box

Organisations can support Mind in Salford simply by placing a clothes recycling box in their office. These indoor textile recycling boxes are a quick, visible and eco‑friendly way to collect unwanted clothing and textiles from staff, visitors, or customers.

How it works

  • Request a recycling box for your workplace. It arrives flat‑packed, easy to assemble, and ready to use.
  • Place it in a communal area such as a reception, staff room, or break space to encourage donations.
  • Fill it with unwanted clothes and textiles. Staff simply drop items in as part of their regular decluttering.
  • Arrange a collection once the box is full.
  • Funds raised from the collected textiles come directly to Mind in Salford, supporting our mental health services across the community.

Why workplaces love this scheme

  • It’s free, simple, and environmentally responsible.
  • It helps organisations meet sustainability goals.
  • It boosts staff engagement by giving them an easy way to donate.
  • Every collection directly supports local mental health support.

What can be donated?

Clean, reusable clothing and shoes, that are no longer needed in your home.

We are so happy to have Further Media Works on board as a corporate partner.

I am beyond honoured to announce that we’ve partnered with Mind In Salford, as our charity partner since 2023.
Partnering with Mind in Salford gives us an opportunity to showcase the immensely valuable work that they do supporting the mental health, and wellbeing, of the Salford community. Mental health is a cause that is so close to home, and communities like Mind in Salford are so important in helping those who are struggling.

I’ve met the Mind in Salford team, they’re dedicated, passionate, caring, and driven to help the community as much as possible. Being even a small part of what they’re doing is an honour, and represents our core values at FMW in giving back to the community. I’m really excited to see how we can support them, and the Salford community going into 2025.

Sam Michael Wood – Director of Further Works Salford

We are delighted to have been chosen by HAHN Plastics as their Charity of the Year:

HAHN Plastics UK has chosen to support Mind Salford in 2026 because of its clear commitment to improving mental health outcomes across our local community. With one in four people experiencing a mental health problem each year, it is a cause close to our hearts as individuals, colleagues and family members. Mind in Salford’s focus on advocacy, early support and sustained wellbeing closely aligns with the values we stand for as a business. We are proud to support an organisation that delivers practical, lasting impact for those who need it most
