Advocacy is helping people to express their views, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need. Advocates work in partnership with the people they support and are on their side. Advocacy promotes social inclusion, equality and social justice.

My advocate has always ensured that professionals listen to my point of view. Before I had an advocate I felt no one cared about me. I now feel empowered to speak up when my advocate is by my side.
