Charity Places
Run for
or for
We have a limited number of free spots available for the London Marathon, each of which comes with a minimum fundraising target of £2,500.
To register your interest for a charity place in the London Marathon 2027, please fill out the expression of interest form here. Please provide as much detail as possible to explain your motivation and passion for running to support mental health across Salford. We have reserved spaces for those who wish to run in support of our LGBTQIA+ service, Rainbow Mind. If you would like to be considered for one of these spots, please mention it in your application.
There is the potential for the London Marathon to take place over two days in 2027, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April. We are currently awaiting confirmation of this, along with further details on how a two-day event may impact Mind in Salford’s charity places.
If you need any support please contact our team via fundraising@mindinsalford.org.uk.

There is no registration fee for the TCS London Marathon when applying for a charity space through us. If you apply through the TCS ballot the price ranges from £49.99 to £69.99. Our charity place fundraisers will be asked to raise a minimum of £2,500.
I have a ballot place with London Marathon and would like to fundraise for Mind in Salford - how can I do this?
Congratulations on securing a place in the ballot! We would love to hear from you. Please contact fundraising@mindinsalford.org.uk and our team will support you on your fundraising journey. We ask that a minimum of £250 is raised for us.
How are your charity places offered out?
We will review each application anonymously before offering people places. We encourage you to give as much detail as possible to show your passion and reason for supporting us. If you have any creative things in store to help with fundraising we’d love to hear about them!
Is there a deadline to raise £2,500?
You will have a 50% (£1,250) fundraising deadline of 27 February (2 months before the event). We then ask that the full £2,500 is with us by 27 May (1 month after the event).
What happens if I don't reach the £2,500 target?
We have set this minimum fundraising target to make sure we are able to cover the costs that we’ve paid for the place, as well as being able to support our vital services.
Please make sure you are confident you can raise £2,500 before applying for the charity space.
Our team will be on hand to support you with your fundraising.
Will I get a running vest and welcome pack?
Once your registration is confirmed we will send you a running vest and welcome pack in the post.
Will Mind be there on marathon day?
